It is perfectly possible to enjoy a range of salads throughout the year, provided the garden is kept well tilled and fertilised, ready to replace one season's salad ingredients with the next. Structured around the four seasons, this book describes a range of plants, including herbs and some fruit, with notes about their growing requirements.
Dennis Greville is a passionate gardener and he has created and tended a number of major gardens in New Zealand. A regular contributor of photography and articles to several magazines including New Zealand Gardener, he has 17 gardening books to his credit, including Gardening Month by Month, Get Fresh and Colourful Gardens published by New Holland. These days he lives in Auckland, but travels overseas whenever possible to further his gardening knowledge.
