Description

"Passionate about Thai food, the chefs at Spirit House take their food seriously, but not themselves. Learn how to slice squid Chinese style, pound curry pastes, cook crunchy stir-fry and prepare stunning Thai salads - all with insider tips from the chefs at the internationally acclaimed Spirit House restaurant at Yandina in Queensland. Helen Brierty, the owner of Spirit House, and head chef Annette Fear have brought together their most popular and requested dishes, which have been enjoyed for years by diners at the restaurant and taught to students at its hands-on cooking school. Share in these culinary blessings from Spirit House, created to be enjoyed with family and friends."

Author description

A keen cook, on her first visit to Thailand, Helen Brierty fell in love with the food. She created the Spirit House Restaurant with her husband Peter, working with a team of dedicated professionals to share the taste of Thai with diners and students. Spirit House has been the culmination of her business career. Annette Fear shares her passion and knowledge of Asian food by making it accessible to thousands of home cooks. In her spare time she is off to Asia whenever her credit card permits, or potters in her extensive garden of Asian exotics.
