Author description

Sixteen-year-old Claire Gourley hopes to inspire other young people to cook for their families with her recipes and cooking tips on the website she has co-written with her mother Glenda. Claire has appeared on the popular TV2 after-school shows, The Erin Simpson Show and What Now as well as national radio programmes such as Newstalk ZB.

Glenda Gourley is a food writer and editor. With a background in teaching Home Economics, she established a national nutrition education for the school food programme for the Heart Foundation. Glenda also implemented the 2008 United Nations International Year of the Potato, increasing sales of potatoes by around 30%. Glenda has written about 15 cookbooks and manuals, including Quick Food for the Heart and Family Food for the Heart for the National Heart Foundation.
