The Huxtaburger Book - The Art and Science of the Perfect Burger

Author(s): Daniel Wilson

Burgers

A Huxtaburger is no ordinary burger. In The Huxtaburger Book Daniel Wilson, co-owner and chef behind the hugely popular Huxtaburger outlets, presents the elements that make up the ultimate burger. Add the perfect squishy bun; a pickle that has just the right amount of tang and crunch; the exact quantity of mayo and ketchup to deliver maximum flavour without over-powering the burger; and the ultimate beef pattie that's meaty, juicy and full of flavour - and you have fast food elevated to the sublime by Dan's knowledge of the essential ingredients and combinations. Dan shares recipes for mouth-watering constructions such as a fried chicken burger with slaw; a tonkatsu (breaded, deep-fried pork) burger with fennel & apple slaw; a Reuben burger with corned beef, sauerkraut, swiss cheese, and thousand island dressing on a rye bun; a BBQ pulled pork bun with pickles, and more! Take a standard cheeseburger to the next level with an array of recipes for sides, condiments and milkshakes to wash it all down with. The Huxtaburger Book will change everything you thought you knew about burgers, and will arm you with all you'll need to know to make cultworthy burgers at home. The book features a slick design, with close-up cross-sections of burgers and illustrative elements throughout, reflecting the fresh, street nature of the Huxtaburger brand.
